The land prices in Bang Po are some of the cheapest on Koh Samui, resulting in new houses and housing developments popping up in the hilly areas at the back of the village that have unrivaled views over the Gulf of Thailand.
The shallow coral reefs boast some excellent snorkeling as the waters are less polluted than in the more touristy areas. Bang Po is a tiny place with a few local restaurants on the beach and a lush, hilly backdrop, making it one of the most scenically diverse places on Koh Samui.
